Lighting dictates mood, alters spatial perception, and highlights architectural details. A guide to our lighting philosophy.
In our studio, we say that lighting is not a feature—it is the environment. Every surface, every finish, every piece of furniture exists in relationship to light. A travertine wall at noon is a different object entirely at dusk, bathed in the warm amber of a concealed LED strip. Our lighting design process begins in parallel with the architectural phase, not at the end. We layer ambient, task, and accent sources, designing custom dimming curves for each room so that a single scene can transform throughout the day. The most powerful tool is always restraint: the shadow is as important as the light.
